Store Manager

The Store Manager is first and foremost a salesperon. The manager will be hands-on with customers a majority of the time. It is expected that the manager will have excellent sales and customer-service skills, and be able to coach and develop the skills of our sales associates.

The manager will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of the store. The manager will be reponsible for daily task assignments, staffing schedules, employee supervision including coaching and feedback, setting customer service expectations among the staff, etc. The manager will be responsible for store inventory, receiving deliveries, merchandizing the store, and maintaining a sharp and clean store image. The manager will work closely with the owner on many aspects of the store, including hiring, performance reviews, product selection, new program initiatives, employee policies and procedures, etc.

Qualifications

• A passion for excellent customer service
• Interest and experience with dogs
• Minimum of 4 years of retail experience
• Management experience desired but not required - if you're passionate and hard working, we'll invest in you.
• A bachelor-level degree is a strong asset, as is business experience
• Fluent in English both verbal and in writing
• Additional languages are a plus

Schedule:
Flexible according to the needs of the business and scheduling constraints of the other staff. Will include weekends.

Pay:
Barkz pays a competitive salary, including performance-based incentives.
